When Everything Feels Stuck
Let’s be real—some days it feels like the well is dry. You sit there staring at a screen, blank paper, or a half-finished beat, wondering if you’re even built for this. You start asking yourself:
"Am I good enough?"
"Is this even worth it?"
"What if they find out I’m just making this up as I go?"
Yeah. Same. And guess what? That’s normal.
Doubt Is Part of the Process
I grew up in Cleveland, bouncing between chaos and creativity. I didn’t thrive in grade school. I flunked out of vocational school. But I found design—and later screen printing—through the underground punk scene. I got a hand-me-down press from a professor who saw something in me before I could even see it in myself.
The doubts never disappeared. Even when I graduated top of my class in Graphic Design at Tri-C, even when I started Misled.Media, even when I started printing for real clients—I still questioned if I belonged.
That voice that says, “you’re not good enough”? It’s loudest right before a breakthrough.
Keep Creating Anyway
The best advice I can give:
Make things even when you don’t believe in them.
Messy is better than perfect. Movement beats fear.
When I couldn’t afford gear, I used what I had.
When I didn’t get gigs, I made fake ones.
When life got ugly, I printed something about it.
The name “Misled.Media” itself came from those feelings. From being told I wasn’t on the right path. But I was. Just not in a straight line.
Final Thought: Keep Going, Even When It Sucks
You don’t need permission to be an artist.
You don’t need a perfect idea to start.
You just need to start. Again and again.
Persistence isn’t glamorous—but it’s what separates a fleeting idea from a movement.
So whether you’re burned out, broke, or just blanking—keep going.
There’s something on the other side of this. Trust it. Print it. Mix it. Draw it. Record it.
